The ninth movie, Detective Conan: Strategy Above the Depths (名探偵コナン 水平線上の陰謀, Meitantei Konan Suiheisenjō no Sutoratejī),[9] was first screened on April 19, 2005. The movie kept the previous movie's director and writer. Set on a cruise ship and integrating the murder of the shipbuilder, a shipwreck disaster, and part of Ran Mouri and Shinichi Kudo's past, this movie resulted in 2.15 billion yen.
